1. Introduction

This website ("Site") is operated by Puerism ("we," "us," or "our"), a Hong Kong-based entity specializing in the global sale of Pu-erh tea. By accessing this Site or purchasing products ("Products"), you agree to these legally binding Terms & Conditions ("Terms"), which govern your use of our services ("Service"). These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return Policy. If you disagree with any provision, discontinue use immediately.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use this Service. By placing an order, you warrant that you are legally permitted to purchase and import Pu-erh tea in your country. We reserve the right to refuse service for violations of eligibility or suspected fraudulent activity 

 

3. Product Information & Pricing

All Product descriptions (including age, origin, and fermentation type) are provided for informational purposes. Minor variations in color, texture, or taste may occur due to the natural characteristics of tea. Prices are listed in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD). International customers may see approximate currency conversions; final charges depend on your payment provider's exchange rates. We reserve the right to adjust prices, discontinue Products, or correct errors at any time without notice

4. Orders & Payment

Orders constitute an offer to purchase. Acceptance occurs when we ship the Product. We accept credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard), PayPal, and Alipay. You agree to provide accurate payment details and authorize us to charge the total amount (including shipping and duties) upon order confirmation. For orders exceeding HKD 10,000, a non-refundable deposit may be required.

5. Shipping, Delivery & Customs

Products ship via insured carriers (e.g.,SF Express, FedEx) from Hong Kong. Delivery times are estimates only. You bear all customs duties, import taxes, and clearance fees in your country. Risk of loss transfers upon delivery to your designated address. Inspect shipments immediately; report damage/missing items within 48 hours with photographic evidence.

6. Returns & Refunds

Unopened Products may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund (excluding shipping costs). Defective/damaged items must be reported within 48 hours for replacement/refund. Opened tea products are non-returnable for hygiene reasons. To initiate returns, contact@puerism.com for a Return Authorization (RA) number. Refunds are processed within 30 days using the original payment method.

7. Intellectual Property

All Site content (logos, text, images, product designs) is owned by Puerism and protected under Hong Kong copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or commercialize our intellectual property without prior written consent. User-generated content (e.g., reviews) grants us a perpetual license to use, display, and modify such content globally.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to extract Site data;

  • Resell Products for commercial exploitation without authorization;

  • Introduce viruses or disruptive code;

  • Violate import/export regulations in your jurisdiction.
    Violations may result in account termination or legal action.

 

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Pu-erh tea is a traditional beverage and not a medicinal product. Consult a healthcare provider before consumption if pregnant, nursing, or medically compromised. To the fullest extent permitted by Hong Kong law:

  • We disclaim all warranties (express or implied) regarding Product fitness;

  • We are not liable for customs seizures, import restrictions, or quality variations due to storage conditions;

  • Our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of your order.

 

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by Hong Kong SAR law. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in Hong Kong courts. EU/UK consumers retain mandatory rights under their local laws.

11. Amendments

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The current version is always available at [puerism.com/terms].
